About the KIND Institute:
The Point Breeze neighborhood of South Philadelphia is now home to The KIND Institute, Maria Pandolfi and Ron Kustrup’s soon-to-be after-school art program, and gallery space with studios for professional artists. They will provide a space for the children of Point Breeze to access education in visual arts, music, nutrition, and language with an emphasis on humane education. The Institute’s goal is to shape students into inventive adults, with the skills to perform as leaders in their community. Both teachers themselves, Maria and Ron, along with their staff, will teach students new ways to comprehend and retain information by addressing all learning styles. Through the arts, students will gain the knowledge, passion, and creativity needed to make the world a better place.
